It has a red color and its flavour of black cherry, plum, dried herbs and notes of chocolate varies mainly where it grows depending on the climate. As a wine, Merlot is softer, medium to full-body and typically made in a dry style.
- Sangiovese
It is a blue-black grape variety. Its flavours move towards dried cherries, figs and roses. As a wine, Sangiovese offers a wide range of tastes from sour red cherries to very earthy and rustic.
- Petit Verdot
It is a small, thick-skinned berries grape and it is valued for its depth of color and tannic structure. As a wine, Petit Verdot tends to have a dense, inky and violet-black appearance.
